Verse 4

தானென்ற இம்முறையைஅறியலாச்சு

தாயென்பார் அசடர்களைத் தள்ளு தள்ளு

கோனென்றால் வருமோதான் குவித்துப் பாரு

கூறஒண்ணா இக்கருவைப் பேசலாச்சு

வானென்ற பெரியோரைக் கண்டு தேரு

வணங்கியே அனுதினமும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக

பானென்ற முப்பொருளும் ஈசன் தானும்

பார்வதிக்கே தானுரைத்தார் பரிசை வென்றே.

Translation:

This method of self became known

They call it mother.  Dismiss the ignoramous

If you say king will he come? Look with focus

This indescribable essence, has been discussed

See the great souls who are like the sky

Saluting them daily, with happiness

Commentary:

Agathiyar calls the method of vasi yogam that he has described as the method of “self”.  He says that it is also called the mother which may mean mother Kundalini and thus kundalini yogam.  He tells Pulathiyar to not pay attention to the ignoramus who only talk about it.  He says if you say “king” will he come?  One has to seek the king, he will not come.  Similarly, there is no point in talking about the yoga, one has to practice it.  He tells Pulathiyar to watch souls who have perfected it and become an expert in it.  He advises Pulathiyar to approach such great souls daily and salute them with happiness.  Thus we learn that this method should be practiced under an expert’s supervision.   Agatthiyar says that Isa who has won over the three drinks, kamapal, kanal pal and vamapal spoke about this to Parvathi. 

இதுவரை தான் கற்றுக்கொடுத்த வாசி யோகம் “தான்” என்னும் யோகம் அதாவது ஆத்மாவை அறியும் யோகம் என்றும் அதை தாய் என்று சிலர் கூறுவார் என்றும் அகத்தியர் புலத்தியரிடம் சொல்கிறார்.  இங்கு தாய் என்பது அன்னை குண்டலினி.  இவ்வாறு இந்த யோகம் குண்டலினி யோகம் என்பது தெரிகிறது.  இந்த யோகத்தைப் பயிலாமல், இதைப் பற்றிய உண்மையை அறியாமல் இருக்கும் அசடர்களைத் தள்ள வேண்டும் என்று புலத்தியருக்கு அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.  இந்த யோகத்தைப் பற்றி ஒருவர் பேசித் திரிந்தால் பயனில்லை.  ராஜா என்றால் அரசன் வரமாட்டான், நாம்தான் அவனைத் தேடிச் செல்ல வேண்டும்.  குண்டலினி யோகம் என்று பேசினால் மட்டும் யோக சித்தி ஏற்படாது அதை ஒருவர் பயிற்சி செய்யவேண்டும் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.  இதனால் ஒருவர் பேசிப் பொழுதை வீணடிக்காமல் இந்த யோகத்தில் தேர்ந்தோரை அணுகி அவரை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வணங்கி அவரிடமிருந்து இதைக் கற்றுப் பயிற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும்.  இதை அனுதினமும் செய்ய வேண்டும் அதாவது இந்த யோகம் இதில் சித்தி பெற்றவரின் கண்பார்வையில் பயிற்சி செய்யப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதே அகத்தியரின் அறிவுரை. 

இந்த வழிமுறையை, முப்பால்களான காமப்பால், கானல் பால், வாமப்பால் என்ற மூன்றை வெல்வதான பரிசையுடைய ஈசன் இதை பார்வதிக்குக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்தார் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
