Verse 323

பதுமைஎன்றீர் என் குருவே அமிர்த வாழ்வே

பார் உலகெலாம் நிறைந்த மாது கோலம்

சதுர்மறையும் சாத்திரங்கள் ஆறும் வாரம்

தனியேழும் இவள் கொலுவே என்று சொன்னீர்

கதுமை என்ற வாலை மனோன் மணியின் செல்வம்

காட்டி நீர் கம்பமணிக் கூற்றாட்டந்தான்

அதியோகம் மாமுகத்தாள் ஆட்டம் தன்னை

ஐவருக்கும் காணவடா சுடர்விட்டேனே

Translation:

You said Doll, my Guru, the life of amrit

The form of the Lady who pervades all the worlds

The four Vedas, Sastras six, the week,

The unique seven are her assembly- you said so.

The sharp lady, vaalai, Manonmani’s wealth

You are showing it, the dance of the jewel of the pillar/movement, verily, its dance

The supreme yoga, the dance of the lady with glorious face

I exuded the flame so that the five can see it.

Commentary:

This verse seems to have started as Pulatthiyar’s conversation and ends as Agatthiyar’s statement.  Pulatthiyar eulogises Agatthiyar and acknowledges that Agatthiyar showed that the lady, Manonmani has scriptures and time as her wealth and that everything is her dance.  It is the supreme yoga of Manonmani.  In the last line Agatthiyar says that he has brought out the flame so that “the five beings” can see it.  The five may be the five states of consciousness, the five senses or sense organs.

புலத்தியரின் உரையாடலாகத் தொடங்கும் இப்பாடல் அகத்தியரின் வார்த்தைகளாக முடிகிறது.  அமிர்த வாழ்வே என்று அகத்தியரைப் புகழும் புலத்தியர் எல்லா நூல்களும் காலமும் மனோன்மணித்தாயின் செல்வம், அனைத்தும் அவளது ஆட்டத்தின் விளைவு  அவளது அதியோகம் என்று புலத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.  கடைசி வரியில் அகத்தியர் தான் சுடரை வெளிவிட்டதற்குக் காரணம் “ஐவர்” அதைக் காண்பதற்கே என்கிறார்.  ஐவர் என்பது ஐந்து விழிப்புணர்வு நிலைகளைக் குறிக்கலாம் அல்லது ஐம்புலன்களைக் குறிக்கலாம்.
