312. " I composed this by abiding in the meijnanam and understanding the essence"- Agatthiyar

Verse 312

பாடினேன் இந்தநூல் பத்து நூறு

பரிவாக நாம் எலாம் விரித்துச் சொன்னேன்

சாடினேன் முன் சொன்ன நூல்கள் எல்லாம்

சாதகமாய்க் கற்பமொடு வாதம் வைப்பு

சூடினேன் கட்டு வகை செந்தூ ரங்கள்

சுறுக்காகப் பலநூலில் பாடி வைத்தேன்

கூடினேன் இந்த நூல் மெய்ஞானம்தான்

கொட்டினேன் கருவிளங்கிக் கொட்டினேனே

Translation:

I sang this book of ten hundreds

I expanded all the names with mercy

I challenged all the books that were composed before

Agreeably karpam, vaadam and vaippu,

I adorned it with types of immobilization and chenduram (medicinal paste)

I sang briefly in several books

I add this book, that of meijnanam

I poured out, knowing the essence, I poured out.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that in this work, meijnanam, he has described all the concepts, indicated by the term namam or name, and has challenged theories written previously.  He has described karpam, vaadam, sarakku vaippu, types of kattu or immobilization and chenduram or pastes prepared in a special way in several of his books.  Here he says he joined the meijnanam.  It means he sang this work while in the state of supreme wisdom.  He says that he has poured everything, realizing the essence. ‘karu’ means essence as well as the foetus, the starting point of a life.

அகத்தியர் தான் இந்த பத்து நூறு அதாவது ஆயிரம் பாடல்களில் எல்லா விஷயங்களையும், நாமம் என்பது அவற்றைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டும் பெயர்கள், விரிவாக விளக்கிக் கூறியுள்ளதாகவும் அது மட்டுமல்லாமல் பிற நூல்களில் உள்ளவற்றைத் தான் சாடியுள்ளதாகவும் கூறுகிறார்.  தான் பல நூல்களில் கற்பம், வாதம் சரக்கு வைப்பு கட்டு வகைகள் செந்தூர வகைகள் ஆகியவற்றைப் பாடியுள்ளதாகவும் இந்த நூலில் தான் மெய்ஞ்ஞானத்துடன் கூடி “கரு” விளங்கி அனைத்தையும் கொட்டியுள்ளதாகவும் கூறுகிறார்.   இதனால் அவர் இந்த நூலை பரவுணர்வு நிலையில் அனைத்துக்கும் உட்பொருளை உணர்ந்த நிலையில் இயற்றியுள்ளார் என்பது புலப்படுகிறது.
