200. Agatthiyar is telling us all the details that he learned from the four-faced one

Verse 200

காட்டுவார் இந்தமுறை கவடற்றேதான்

கடினமிகப் பட்டாலும் தோஷம் இல்லை

நாட்டுவார் இந்தமுறை ஞான கற்பம்

நான்முகத்தோன் உரைத்தபடி வகுத்தேன் அப்பா

காட்டிலே இருப்பார்கள் உலகத்தோடே

கலந்திருப்பார் இவர் சேவை கடினம் அப்பா

கோட்டிலே கோட்டி என்று போய்விடாதே

கொடுங்கோவம் உள்ளிடத்தே குருஉண்டாச்சே

Translation:

He will show this method without any conceit

They will establish the jnana karpam in this fashion

I classified it as the four-faced one told me

They will remain in forest or merged

Within the worldly life. Serving them is very difficult, son,

Do not go away thinking he is the worst of the worse

Where there is anger there is the guru.

Commentary:

Agatthiar says that the guru with extreme qualities will reveal the wisdom and the rules for karpam in this fashion.  He says that he is revealing all these as he heard from the four-faced one.   Usually four-faced person is Brahma.    Agatthiyar advises that even though serving such a guru is very difficult one should not leave him and go away thinking badly of him.  He says that where there is anger there is the grace of the guru also.

அதீத குணமுள்ள குரு இவ்வாறு ஞானத்தையும் கற்பவிதியையும் அளிப்பார் என்று கூறும் அகத்தியர் இந்த குருவுக்கு சேவை புரிவது மிகவும் கடினம், ஆனாலும் ஒருவர் அவரைப் பற்றி மட்டமாக எண்ணி அகன்றுவிடக்கூடாது ஏனென்னில் கோபம் உள்ள இடத்தில்தான் குருவும் உள்ளார் என்கிறார்.  தான் கூறிய இந்த கருத்துக்கள் அனைத்தையும் தனக்கு நான்முகன் கூறினான் என்கிறார்.  நான்முகன் என்பது பொதுவாக பிரம்மாவைக் குறிக்கும்.
