Verse 337

பூசை இது செய்வோர்க்குப் பலத்தைக் கேளு

புகழாக மனதாலே சக்கரத்தைக் கீறி

பூசையிது சுத்தியாய் அக்ஷரங்கள்

பூட்டியே அபிஷேக வஸ்திர பானம்

பூசையிது தூபமொடு தீபம் ஆட்டி

புனித முடன் சகல நெய் வேத்தியத்தோடு

பூசையிது கண் மூடி நாசி முனை நாடி

புகழாக சின் முத்திரைப் பூட்டி ஜெபமும் பண்ணே

Translation:

Hear about the benefit that people who perform this worship receive

Drawing the cakra mentally

Adorning the letters as purification

Sacred ablution, clothes, drink

Fragrant smoke, lamp, waving them

With purity and with all kinds of offerings

This prayer is performed with eyes closed seeking the tip of the nose

Holding the chin mudra and mantra recitation.

Commentary:

This verse describes the next steps in mental worship.  The performer draws the cakra in the mind and decorates it with the letters as purification ritual.  Offering the sacred ablution, clothes, drink, fragrant smoke, lamp and other paraphernalia he sits with his eyes closed, with his attention at the tip of the nose, with the chin mudra in the finger and with mantra recition under the breath.

மானச பூசையின் அடுத்த படியாக அகத்தியர், அந்த பூசையைச் செய்பவர் சக்கரத்தை மனதுள் வரைந்து சுத்தி செய்யும் முறையாக அட்சரங்களை அதிலே மனத்தால் இட்டு அபிடேகம், வஸ்திரம், பானம், தூப தீபம் நைவேத்தியம் ஆகியவற்றை மனத்தால் செய்து கண்களை மூடி, கவனத்தை மூக்கின் நுனியில் இட்டு கையில் சின் முத்திரையுடன் மந்திர ஜெபத்தைச் செய்வார் என்று கூறுகிறார்.
