338. Experience of a daily performer

பண்ணப்பா புலத்தியனே குணத்தைக் கேளு

பக்குவமாய் நாள்தோறும் பழக்கம் ஆனால்

உண்ணப்பா ஒளி வீசும் சக்கரமும் தோணும்

ஓ ஓ ஓ அக்ஷரத்தின் தலங்கள் தோணும்

சண்ணப்பா மந்திரத்தைத் தாக்கிப் பாரு

சாற்றியதோர் வஸ்திரமொடு தூப தீபம்

கண்ணப்பா நீ நோக்கிச் செய்ததெல்லாம்

காணுமடா மூலம் இது ஞானி தானே.

Translation:

Do so Pulatthiya!  Hear about its quality

If it becomes a daily habit

Consume it, the cakras will be visible

O O O the sites of the akshara will be visible

Recite the mantra and see

Along with offerings of cloth, fragrant smoke and lamp

See all that you have performed

The origin will be seen, this is the experience of the jnani.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar describes the experience for a daily practioner of this puja.  He says that in due course the cakras, the sites of the sacred letters will become visible.  Akshara, though it generally means letters it also means, that which is beyond destruction.  This world is “kshara” or subject to destruction.  The locus of the Divine is akshara or one that is never destroyed.  Thus, the loci of the akshara means the locus of the Divine, both in the body and beyond.  This will become visible.  If one performs the rituals of reciting the mantra, offering clothes, fragrant smoke and the lamp, one will see the Origin, the Divine.  This is the experience of a jnani or a Wise One.

மேற்கூறிய பூஜையை முறையாகச் செய்தால் ஒருவர் பெரும் அனுபவங்களை அகத்தியர் இங்கே கூறுகிறார்.  இந்த பூசை தினசரி பழக்கமானால், ஒருவர் சக்கரங்களை, அக்ஷரத்தின் தளங்களைக் காண்பார்.  அக்ஷரம் என்பது பொதுவாக எழுத்துக்களைக் குறித்தாலும் அது “அழிவற்றது” என்றும் பொருள் பெறும்.  இந்த உலகம் க்ஷரம், இறைமையின் இருப்பது அக்ஷரம், அழிவற்ற நிலையில்.  அதனால் அக்ஷரத்தின் தளம் என்பது இவ்வுடலிலும் உடலைக் கடந்தும் இறைமை இருக்கும் இடங்கள் புலப்படும்.  இந்த பூசையை ஒருவர் மந்திரத்தை உச்சரித்து, வஸ்திரங்கள்,தூப தீபம் காட்டிச் செய்தால் முடிவில் அனைத்துக்கும் மூலமான இறைமை புலப்படும்.  இதுவே ஞானிகளின் அனுபவமாகும் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
