347. Do not share this knowledge even if deceitful people offer riches and service

வணங்கி அவன் வந்தாலும் முகம் பாராதே

வாழ்தனங்கள் ஈய்ந்தாலும் நயம் சொல்லாதே

இணங்கி அவன் வந்தாலும் இடம் கொடாதே

ஏவல் அவன் செய்தாலும் நீ கொள்ளாதே

துணங்கி அவன் வீடு பொருள் நாடி ஈந்தும்

சொல்பத்தில் அவன் வசனம் நீ கூறாதே

சுணங்க அவன் ஒருநாளும் உதவாக் குப்பை

தோழி அவள் துடர்ந்து வந்தால் இவ்விடம் சொல்லே

Translation:

Even if he comes to you saluting you, do not see his face

Even if he offers wealth for living, do not tell him

Even if he comes humbly, do not give him a chance

Even if he serves you, do not accept it,

Even if he offers house, wealth etc

Do not talk to him easily

He is useless garbage

If She, the friend comes following, tell her about this place.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar is continuing his advise to Pulatthiyar that he should avoid charlatans.  He tells Pulatthiyar to not reveal the content of this book even if such a person offers wealth, house, or any service.  He is nothing but garbage as he will go back to his original ways.  The last line is not clear, Agatthiyar talks about a friend, a girl.  He tells Pulatthiyar that if she comes he should tell her this place.

புலத்தியருக்குத் தனது அறிவுரையைத் தொடருகிறார் அகத்தியர்.  தீயவர்களுக்கு இந்த நூலை அவர்கள் பொருளும் வீடும் தனமும் தந்தாலும் சேவை புரிய வந்தாலும் தரவேண்டாம் ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் வெறும் குப்பை என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.  இப்பாடலின் கடைசி வரி தெளிவாக இல்லை.  தோழி அவள் வந்தால் அவளுக்கு இவ்விடம் சொல்லு என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.
