280. Crux of Agatthiyar's philosophy, a great loss!

சுழன்று மிக ஏறவென்றால் சிவன் உத்தாரம்

சொல்லுவார் சிவ சூக்ஷம் இங்கே சொல்வேன்

சுழன்று நின்று அலையாதே ஐந் நூற்றுப் பால்

காட்டுவார் சிவன் கொலுவில் கண்டு தேறு

தளர்ந்துவிட்டுப் போகாதே சமையம் அல்ல

சாம்புவியில் சாம்புவதாம் உரைப்பார் அப்பா

உழன்று மணி ஏற வென்று எழுத்தும் சொல்வார்

ஓ ஓ ஓ சிவன் உரைத்த…..

Translation:

It it is for whirling and climbing high, Siva will stand guarantee. 

I will tell you about Siva suksham (subtlety of Siva) here

Do not roam behind the five hundred

Siva will show it in the assembly, see it and realize it

Do not fatigue, this is not a religion

He will say the Sambhu in Sambhavi

He will say, “whirling (in it) ascend the mani” and tell you the letter also

O!O!O! that which Siva revealed….

Commentary:

This most import verse is missing the crucial palm leaf manuscript that contains the crux of the philosophy, about the subtlety of Sivam.  It is only our misfortune that these manuscripts are not protected properly. 

Agatthiyar says that he will reveal the subtlety about Sivam here to understand how to ascend.  He advises Pulatthiyar (and us) that he should not roam behind the five hundred.  It may be the fives (elements, qualities etc) but to enjoy the vision of Siva in the ‘kolu’ or assembly.  This may be ajna or sahasrara cakra.  He tells Pulathiyar that this is not a religion but an actual experience and so he should not give up hope or interest.  Agatthiyar says that the state of super consciousness, the Siva will say, “assend the jewel or mani” and reveal its bija akshara or the letter.  The palm leaf stops with Agatthiyar’s words, “that which Sivan uttered…”

சிவ சூட்சுமத்தை அகத்தியர் விளக்க முனையும் இந்த ஓலைச் சுவடியின் அடுத்த ஏடு தொலைந்து போயிருப்பது நமது துரதிருஷ்டமே.  இப்பாடலில் அகத்தியர் புலத்தியரிடம் தான் சிவ சூட்சுமத்தை இப்போது விளக்கப் போவதாகவும் அவர் அதனைக் கேட்டு சுழுமுனையில் ஏற வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறுகிறார்.  அவர் புலத்தியரை ஐந்நூற்றுப்பால் அலையவேண்டாம் என்கிறார்.  இது ஐந்து ஐந்தாக நாம் பார்த்த பூதங்கள், புலன்கள் ஆகியவற்றைக் குறிக்கின்றது.  இதை விட்டுவிட்டு புலத்தியர் சிவன் கொலுவில் காட்டும் காட்சியைப் பார்த்து மகிழவேண்டும் என்கிறார்.  கொலு என்பது ஆக்ஞை அல்லது சஹாஸ்ரார சக்கரமாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.  இந்த அறிவு சமய மதம் இல்லாததால் புலத்தியர் இதனால் தளர வேண்டாம், சிவனும், “சுழன்று மணியில் ஏறு” என்று கூறி பீஜாட்சரம் அல்லது எழுத்தைக் கூறுவார் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறத் தொடங்குகிறார்.
