Translation:
Climb Son!
Pulatthiya! Going beyond the Sivam
Climb up naturally beyond the Sivam
Say son! The good and bad actions
Destroying both properly and climb up
Change Son!
Contemplate the five letters within the heart
Change it! The change
grants all the siddhis
The valorous mystical accomplishments will come under your
control
I revealed this, in the kavya I revealed this.
Commentary:
Agatthiyar is telling Pulatthiyar that he should go beyond
the sahasrara even beyond the dvadasantham, where the supreme consciousness
remains as Sivam. Sivam is not a person
or a form but a state. The state beyond
Sivam is the turiyatheetha, the state of all-pervasiveness, the singlet state
without any distinction. One can attain this state if both the good karma and
the bad karma are removed. Bad karma is
an iron handcuff, the good karma is a golden handcuff. Both tether the Jiva to the world. One should do this by contemplating the five
letters of namacivaya. This practice
will grant all the siddhis or mystical accomplishments. Bhagavad Gita describes a total of sixty four
siddhis that include the famous eight siddhis or ashtamasiddhi. Agatthiyar
reiterates that he has described all these in his kavyam, the meijnana kavyam.
