Verse 23

மாறப்பா அவரவர்தன் தேவி பீஜம்

            மகத்தான சிவவாலை எழுத்துக் கூட்டி

கூறப்பா கொடி தோறும் சூலம் இட்டு

குருவான பிரணவத்தைச் சூலத்திட்டு

சாரப்பா பூசைவிதி படிக்கி மாறி

சதிரமாய்பஞ்சறையில் எழுத்தஞ் சூட்டி

தேறப்பா இதுவல்லோ கற்மத்தாட்டு

சிவ சிவா சிதம்பரத்தின் வீடு தானே  (23)

Translation:

Write the appropriate devi bija akshara

            Add the siva vālai letter

Say it with drawing the spear in each flag, terminus

            Draw the pranava in the spear

Adhere to the puja vidhi

            Write the letters alternating in the five rooms of the square

This is for the ashta karma (eight karma)

            Siva sivā this is the house of Chidambaram  (23)

Commentary:

This verse describes the Chidambara cakra.  As given in the above verse it is a 5X5 square.  Each square ends in a flag or a design at the end. A trident is drawn on it and omkara is drawn there.  The letter of vaalai may be hreem, the sakti bhijam.

Agattiyar says that this chakra will apply for the ashta karma or eight karma which are vaseekaranam (making something attracted by the yogi), mohanam (causing enchantment) aakarshanam (drawing something towards the yogi), ucchaadanam (reciting the mantra in cause a specific action), sthambanam (arresting the natural action of anything), Vidveshanam (making one hate something), bedhanam (causing a difference-opinion, state) and maaranam (causing death).
  

இப்பாடலும் சிதம்பர சக்கரத்தை விளக்குகிறது.  ஒவ்வொரு சதுரமும் முடியும் இடத்தில் ஒரு கொடி போட்டு அங்கு சூலம் வரைந்து அதில் ஓங்காரத்தை எழுத வேண்டும்.  இங்கு வாலையின் எழுத்து எனப்பட்டது சக்தி பீஜமான ஹ்ரீம் என்று இருக்கலாம்.  இதுவே சிதம்பர சக்கரம்.


இந்த சக்கரம் அஷ்ட கர்மா எனப்படும் எட்டு கர்மங்களுக்காக வரையலாம் என்கிறார் அகத்தியர்.  அஷ்ட கர்மங்கள் என்பது வசீகரணம் (ஒன்று தன்னால் கவரப்படச் செய்வது), மோகனம் (மனமயக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்துவது), ஆகர்ஷணம் (ஒரு பொருளைத் தன்னை நோக்கி வரச்செய்வது), உச்சாடணம் ( ஒரு பலனுக்காக மந்திரம் செபிப்பது), ஸ்தம்பனம் (ஒன்றன் இயற்கையான செயல்பாட்டை நிறுத்துவது), வித்வேஷணம் (ஒருவர் ஒன்றை வெறுக்கச் செய்வது), பேதனம் (இருவரிடையே கருத்து வேறுபாட்டை ஏற்படுத்துவது), மாரணம் (இறப்பை ஏற்படுத்துவது).
