221. Vishnu's idea

Verse 221          

அறிவார்கள் ரிஷிகள்சித்தர் முனிவோ ரையா

அரஅரா ஆதமக்கோள் யார்என் றாக்கால்

குறிஆகப் புசண்டமுனி சொல்வா ரையா

போயழைக்கக் கோள்யாரு வசிட்ட ராகும்

நெறியாக இவ்வகைநான் அறிவேன் ஐயா

நிலைத்தமொழி புசண்டர் அல்லால் மற்றோர் சொல்லார்

பிரிவாக இவ்வளவென் றுரைத்தார் மாயன்

பெருஞானக் கடவுளைப்போ மகிக்ஷி பூண்டார்.

Translation:

The rishis, siddhas and munis

Ara araa!  Who is the last one, when questioned so,

Pujanda muni will say the signs, Sir

The right one to invite him is Vasishta

Sir, I will know this way, the right path,

No one other than Pujandar will say the permanent words

Mayan told all these, clearly

The Great Wise God, became happy then.

Commentary:

This verse is a continuation of the previous one where Mayan or Vishnu tells the assembly who the right person is to describe creation, dissolution and the status of various entities.  Here he says with conviction that it is only Kakapujandar who can say the last word about these issues and that the right person to invite him for the assembly was Vasishta.  When the great god of wisdom, Isa, heard this he became very happy.

உலகம் எவ்வாறு தோன்றுகிறது மறைகிறது, அதில் உள்ள வஸ்துக்களின் நிலை என்ன என்பது போன்ற கேள்விகளுக்கு முந்தைய பாடலில் விஷ்ணு பதில் கூறத்தொடங்கினார்.  அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக இப்பாடலில் அவர் இந்த கேள்விகளுக்கு சரியான பதிலைத் தரக்கூடியவர் புஜண்ட முனிவர் மட்டுமே என்றும், அவரை இந்த சபைக்கு அழைக்கத் தகுதியானவர் வசிஷ்டரே என்றும் கூறினார்.  இதைக் கேட்க ஞானவானான இறைவன் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தான் என்று அகத்தியர் கூறுகிறார்.
