234. Pujandar explains creation and dissolution

Verse 234

சாற்றுகிறேன் உள்ளபடி யுகங்கள் தோறும்

தமக்கு வந்து சொல்வதுவே தவமாய்ப் போச்சு

மாற்றுகிறேன் க்ஷணத்துமுன் உரைத்துப்  பொன் என்ன

வாதாட்டம் எனக்காச்சு இனி என் சொல்வேன்

சேற்றிலே நாட்டி வைத்த கம்பம் போல

திரும்பினது போல் ஆச்சு யுகங்கள் தோறும்

ஆற்றுகிறேன் அந்தமது ஆகும்போது

அர அரா அந்நேரம் நடக்கை கேளே

Translation:

I will say as it is, every eon,

Austerity became the act of telling it to you

I will show it rubbing it in a second and revealing it as gold,

The act of alchemy became mine, what do I say anymore

Like a pillar planted in the mud

Which turned, it happened so every eon.

I will tell you what happens when the end comes

Ara araa!  Listen to what happens then.

Commentary:

Pujandar is describing the events that occur during the dissolution when everything ceases to exist.   The first two lines appear as if he is complaining to Siva that he has to say this to him every eon.  This actually means that the soul has to recall it everytime this occurs. The word pralaya can be split as pra+laya or reabsorption, returning to the original state of harmony.  This refers to the state when all forms of distinctions disappear and there is nothing other than consciousness.  Everytime a soul ascends the sushumna nadi and reaches the state of supreme consciousness it undergoes pralaya and everytime it comes down to muladhara it undergoes creation, manifestation.  Pujandar is talking about this pralaya.  The pillar described is the sushumna nadi.  Turning means the pillar turning up to become laya or turning down to become creation.  The mud is the locus of the earth principle, the muladhara.     

The human body is called the microcosm and the universe the macrocosm.  Everything present in the macrocosm is present in the microcosm.  Hence, creation and dissolution happens in the microcosm just as it occurs in the macrocosm.

பிரளயத்தின்போது நடைபெறுவதை புஜண்டர் இந்த பாடலில் விளக்குகிறார்.  முதல் இரண்டு வரிகள் அவர் இந்த விஷயத்தை ஒவ்வொரு யுகமும் தான் சிவனுக்குக் கூறவேண்டியுள்ளதே என்று அலுத்துக்கொள்வதைப் போல இருந்தாலும் உண்மையில் அவர் கூறுவது என்னவென்றால் ஞானம் பெற்ற ஜீவாத்மா, ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் பிரளயம் நிகழும்போதும், குண்டலினி சக்தி சுழுமுனையில் ஏறி இறங்கும்போதும், இதை நினைவு கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்பதையே.  அதுதான் தவம்.  இதைத் தான் சித்தர்கள் தத்துவ விளக்கமாக தமது ஒவ்வொரு நூலிலும் கூறியுள்ளனர்.

மனித உடல் சிற்றண்டம் எனப்படுகிறது.  உலகம் பேரண்டம்.  சிற்றம்பலத்தில் உள்ளதுதான் பேரம்பலத்தில் உள்ளது.  இதைத் தான் “அண்டத்தில் உள்ளதுதான் பிண்டத்தில் உள்ளது” என்று ஆன்றோர் கூறுகின்றனர்.  உலகில் நடைபெறும் பிரளயம் உடலிலும் நிகழ்கிறது.
