146. The one who performs cakra pooja

Verse 146

சொல்லுவான் சிலவெழுதிக் கையில் ஈவான்

சுற்றமாய் விரதமது இருக்கச் சொல்வான்

கொல்லுவான் ஆடு பண்ணி கோழி தன்னை

கோதையர்க்கு சமையல் மடம் சுற்றிப்பான்கேள்

மெல்லுவான் வெறுவாயைச் சக்கரங்கள் போட்டு

மின்னே வடை பரமானம் தூப தீபம்

கெல்லுவான் பஞ்ச பாத்திரமும் வைத்துக்

கிருபையுடன் பூரிப்பான் வஸ்து தானே

Translation:

He will say, he will write some and give it

He will recommend elaborate austerities

He will kill goat, pig and chicken

He will circle the kitchen of women

They will chew empty mouth (talk without matter) drawing the cakra

Offering vada, superior food, lamp and fragrance

He will dig.  With sacred vessels for worship

He will feel proud of eulogizing matter.

Commentary:

Agatthiyar says that the expert mentioned in the previous verse will tell people that he knows all about yantra.  He will draw them and give it to them recommending elaborate worship rituals that include sacrificing animals such as goats, pigs and chicken.  He will spend his time in the kitchen focusing only on food.  He will engage in empty talk.  He will offer an array of foods to the cakra, make a big show of worship with appropriate sacred vessels and feel very proud.  All he is doing is worshiping matter.

மேற்பாடலில் கூறிய குரு பிறரிடம் தனக்கு சக்கரங்கள் வரையத் தெரியும் என்று கூறி அவற்றை வரைந்து மக்கள் கையில் தருவான்.  அவர்களுக்கு விரிவான பூஜா விதிகளைக் கூறி ஆடு, கோழி முதலியவற்றைப் படையல் இடவேண்டும் என்று கூறுவான்.  ஆனால் அவனது கவனம் இருப்பது உணவில் மட்டுமே.  விஷயமே இல்லாமல் வெறும் வாயை மெல்லும் அவன் சக்கரங்களுக்கு வடை, பாயசம், தூப தீபம் ஆகியவற்றைப் படைத்து பஞ்சபாத்திரம் உத்திரிணி ஆகியவற்றை வைத்துக் கொண்டு விரிவாகப் பூஜைகளைச் செய்து தனது பெருமையில் திளைப்பான்.  ஆனான் அவன் வழிபடுவது ஒரு வஸ்துவைத் தான் இறைவனை அல்ல.
