Translation:
He will
chide, “You son of a ghost! Son! Son!
You
ignorant donkey, haven’t you read?”
They
will tie your mouth without being able to say a word
If it is a disciple who realized what he is saying, on his cheek
He will
tap, he will see the reaction
Even
if the face falls a little, he will fondle it and say
Like
a piece of silk that was cut out
“Remain
carefully and live watchfully”. He will
say so.
Commentary:
When
the right person comes to the guru and yet does not realize the truth, we saw
that the guru will chastise him in private.
He will tell him, “ Are you an ignorant donkey? Haven’t you read before?” He will reprimand him in such a way that the
person will not be able to open his mouth to utter a word in defense. If it is a person who understands what the guru is
trying to say he will tap him on his cheek and if the person's face flinches a little he
will tell him clearly and succinctly, “Remain careful and watchful.”
The
expression “saying something as if cutting a piece from silk” is used to
indicate that not even one unnecessary word is used in the conversation, no
mincing words or beating around the bush.
The guru will say straight in his face, “Live cautiously and watchfully.”
