112. Meijnanam is the only way for seeing the Divine

Verse 112

மறுமொழி

சொல்என்றாய் புலத்தியனே அறிவுள்ளோனே

சூக்ஷமதைக் காணவென்றால் இந்த நூல்தான்

அல்என்று விட்டாயேல் இந்த நூல்

அரஅரா இனி ஞானம் அரியதாகும்

வல்என்ற பெரியோர்க்கு ஈசன் அன்று

வகுத்தபடி உந்தனுக்கு வழுத்தினேன் யான்

கல் என்ற குகையேது ஞானி யேது

கருத்துகந்த சிவயோகிக் காகும்நூலே

Translation:

Pulatthiya! You asked me, “Please tell”

To see the Subtle, only this book

If you leave it, ignore it,

Arahara! Wisdom will be to impossible to attain

For the capable great souls, Lord that day

As he stipulated, I told you that,

Where is the stony cave, who is the saint?

This book is fit for a Sivayogi, pleasing to the mind.

Commentary:

 Agatthiyar tells Pulatthiyar that he could see the Subtle only from the knowledge imparted through the meijnanam.  If Pulatthiyar ignores this book for some reason, then he will never be able to attain jnana.  Agatthiyar tells him that the knowledge is offering through this book is that which the Lord taught great souls.  So it is the direct knowledge from the authentic source.  Stony cave refers to the ajna cakra.  The blackness seen at this cakra is referred to as the stony cave.  One sees this usage in Sivavaakkiyam also.  Stating that this book is the best one for a Sivayogi, Agatthiyar tells Pulatthiyar that it has knowledge about the kundalini yoga and about a true saint. 

சூட்சுமத்தைக் காண்பதற்கான வழி என்ன என்று கேட்ட புலத்தியருக்கு அகத்தியர் மெய்ஞ்ஞானம் என்னும் இந்த நூல்தான் வழி என்கிறார்.  இந்த நூலை புலத்தியர் அலட்சியம் செய்தால் அவரால் ஞானம் பெறுவது என்பது நடக்காத ஒன்றாகிவிடும் என்கிறார்.  இந்த நூலில் தான் அளித்துள்ள ஞானம் இறைவன் (தட்சிணாமூர்த்தியாக) அன்றொரு நாள் பல  பெரியோர்களுக்குக் கற்றுத் தந்தது தான் என்கிறார்.  கல் குகை என்பது ஆக்ஞா சக்கரத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது.  சிவவாக்கியரும் இந்த சக்கரத்தைக் கல்குகை என்று அழைக்கிறார்.  அகத்தியர் தான் பாடியுள்ள இந்த நூல் சிவயோகத்தில் விருப்பமுள்ளவருக்கான நூல் என்று கூறுகிறார்.
